Yak wool scarves
Wooly warm. Handmade. Fair Trade.
Our handwoven yak wool scarves are traditionally made in Nepal from the yak cattle's wool.
Yak cattle live in the Himalayas, Mongolia and southern Siberia and are thus exposed to extreme weather conditions. Its fur, which is unique in the world, can keep warm at temperatures below freezing point.
The fine wool is obtained through a complex combing and shearing process. It is very robust, but still feels soft and light and is as such, a popular cashmere alternative.
